The latest crap from McCain
McCain stated in an interview that both Bush and Kerry "served honorably" and that we should be focussing on the events of today, and not rehashing of the Vietnam war. McCain, you are doing a disservice to your fellow veterans, since you probably know full well that Bush in no way served honorably, and yet you are sacrificing your own credibility by propogating that lie. I can accept your support of Bush as your parties candidate, but you have crossed the line with this.

4. He's preparing to be drafted as Bush's running mate.
A huge mistake if it happens. Just pull out the old Carolina ads lobbed aganist McCain in the primaries. Talk about flip-flop and bull shit.
I have much more respect for McCain if he would just say he is a Republican and scared to leave the party for his own career than this bullshit about Bush having served honorably.

13. He doesn't look too good.
I think he's having some problems with his skin cancer. This is pure conjecture on my part, but I don't think he'll be around to serve a single full term as President if elected in 2008.

2. Kevin Phillips made a good point last night
which was that if Kerry's actions thirty years ago are an issue so are Bush's and given that we are at war and the war is not going so well...the one with experience SHOULD have an advantage (paraphrasing his actual words)

20. Besides the war
What was Bush doing while Kerry was

Serving his country in the Navy

Serving his community in the DA's office

Serving his country as a US Senator

Bush was

Stealing Christmas trees

Getting busted

Getting drunk

Getting high

Floundering in college

Failing in business

Screwing up Texas

5. Could there be internal battles going on in the GOP and the
"true" repugs are trying to overthrow & discredit GWB and nominate McCain in 2004?

These are strange times and stranger things have happened.

8. He was right about one thiing....
we certainly don't need to be rehashing the Vietnam war. We DO need to be focusing on how Dumbya has fucked the american people (with the exception of his rich friends) and continues to do so!

10. Fuck McCain
I phoned his office weeks ago when the huggy bear photo of him and shrub was thrown around. That was the icing on the cake.

This guy is playing lovey dovey with a guy who set out to detroy him and his family just a few years back? McCain lost all credibility with me after that!

11. Guys, HE IS A REPUBLICAN
You all seem like this is a shock. I never expected McCain to come over and endorse Kerry because he is a Republican politician with his own interests in mind. He may have more decency than most of his party, but the fact is that he is still a Republican.

15. I don't think it's crap. I agree that we need to focus on the present.
The events of today are extremely important and Bush is screwing up. Rove must be pretty satisfied with the current presidential coverage considering its taking the focus OFF of the poor job creation numbers, high crude oil prices, and the fact that millions of people will suddenly LOSE their overtime pay starting this Monday.

17. McCain
I have always found him to be a bit wacky, like in the real sense of brain damaged. Of course his experience in Vietnam was horrific and he deserves some slack. That said he sould not be in politics. bob

Will he object to John Kerry's new commercial? How will he feel about Kerry using his image to defeat Bush?
