2. I don't know
I actually think, that a continuation of Bush's leadership in Iraq will lead to an eventual pullout from the ME. If they don't get the borders secured it will only continue to get worse in my opinion. As far as Iran, I believe the plan that is developing is to position nukes in Iraq targeted at Tehran.

3. I think it would take
a large attack by Iran (or at least blamed on Iran) to justify the war for the public, especially if Iraq is still going on (which it undoubtedly will be for a few more years minimum). I think shrub is walking on thin enough ice as it is.

6. That never happened before we attacked Iraq.
If
AWOL wants to do it he will. He knows his flock will follow no matter what he does. Plus he won't be running for relection again so he doesn't have to worry about what the masses think.

10. Abbie Hoffman smiles on you, brother
I'd love to see that happen. In this day of complacency, however, I think King George could incinerate and obliterate millions, like one of his more famous(infamous)predecessors to the throne. Who will wear the yellow badges next? Hmmm. Lets start with the Liberals. Got your work permit yet? Hope for a tattoo with lotsa numbers in it, it means you're important in the war effort, and they won't send you to the chamber first.

9. maybe you're right.
After all, it would continue the fulfillment of "end time prophecy" in accordance with Nostradamus as well as the Bible. He'd rather shit and fall back in it than to attack the root cause of the problems in the Middle East. Saudi Arabia taught the Taliban how to be mean bastards...and considered them too liberal "for their own good" and nevermind going after Arafat...Gotta keep the oil flowing!

11. I wouldn't be surprised
to see an invasion of Iran take place before the election, to bolster the "Don't Change Horses in Midstream" theme of the campaign. It would not take much to appear to justify such an invasion, and a draft could happen overnight, don't kid yourselves on that.

Or, what if Kerry does appear to win on November 2? It's not until some time in January that the Electoral College meets and makes it official. What if during that time the apparent threat from Iran, China, and North Korea, gets worse? What if things are supposedly so bad that we "must" invade one of them, and so (sadly -- you can be sure that W will seem to have tears in his eyes when he goes on TV to announce this) a draft is necessary. And then, a groundswell can appear to keep W in office, rather than inaugurating the cowardly peace-monger traitor John Kerry.

What rioting in the streets? Apparently there's not a cop in North America who's not willing to do the bidding of their superiors, witness all the many demonstrations starting with Seattle several years ago.
