I would like to see these questions asked of Mr.Bush. |
|
Preferably at a new conference by John Kerry and John Edwards:
1.Did you avoid service in Vietnam by pulling strings to get into the Texas Air National Guard? 2.Did you also pull strings to get an honorable discharge? 3.Why did you disobey orders to take a physical? 4.Why did you move to Alabama and not show up for duty there? 5.Did you use drugs like cocaine while serving in the TANG? 6.Do you consider yourself morally equivalent to anyone who served in Vietnam? 7.When will you stop using surrogates to attack the honesty of people like Max Cleland who sacrificed so much for his country in Vietnam? 8.When do you plan to address real issues facing us such as the economy, jobs, healthcare, prescription drugs for the elderly, education, outsourcing, the budget and trade deficits. When do you plan to issue detailed position papers on these issues?

If we have learned anything of Bush and EVERYONE IN HIS ADMINISTRATION in the last four years it's that they will lie when you ask them a question. Not only that but the media will ignore it and if the media does choose to report it it will be on the crawl once every 12 hours.
Everyone should stop thinking someone is going to ask the right question and Bush will break down and actually tell the truth. Even he knows that would end his tenure in office.
We should instead be out there everyday we have free registering voters and spreading the truth to the people. Whether they want to hear it or not...

2. My thinking was that getting him to face the cameras and answering |
|
these questions would expose his true self to millions and put him on the record as having answered them with lies or evasions.I agree with you that we should continue our efforts to defeat him at the polls. But, knowing how Bush and his group detest visuals, this may be tactically a good move for us.

3. We have been trying it for four years. |
|
It doesn't work because the media won't play it. The best thing we can do is get to the people face to face. Now that is a lasting memory. Joe America doesn't remember much about the news who watches before he tucks himself into his nice comfy bed for a long night of fitfull sleep.
But he/she will sure as shit remember the guy/girl who stoppped him on the street and told him some facts and registered him to vote, then gave him a nice neat sheet of paper with All(Or should I say None)of Shrubs accomplishments.
We will not win this election by stumping *. He has made an ass out of himself countless times in the last fours years. What makes you think that will somhow ruin his chances if he slips up once or twice more in the next month and a half?

4. I would like to see ANY questions asked of Bush. |
|
Besides something like: "Please, President Bush, would you share with us the importance of your Faith?"
That's the whole trick. Let's keep hoping.
