Shrub is much more interested in Florida than Haiti, mainly bcause his father lost Florida to Clinton when FEMA was seen as dragging their heels during the recovery process for Hurricane Andrew.
Just like how you cannot expect to be re-elected as Mayor of New York if the snow is not cleared promptly in winter, Florida hurricane relief seems to have an election influence.
Haiti seems to have little influence for the current mis-administration. There is a large Haitian community in NYC but New York will probably vote for Kerry.
