9. Sorry to bust your bubble, but it's a mere camera angle effect.

Notice the Fox shot is an AP pic. They would not be able to alter it without permission from AP, and I doubt it on this short notice.

I'm sure the flattering angle for Bush was decisive in their choosing that particular shot, though.

13. we watched it on C-Span

C-Span had a split screen -- the angle had Kerry and bush*'s heads at the same "height" -- although you would notice that the edge of Kerry's podium was lower than bush*'s

While bush* was speaking - Kerry was jotting down alot of notes

When Kerry spoke - bush* fiddled with the pen, taking off the cap and putting it back on - very little (if any) note taking, grimaces and winches

bush* also tried hard to supress his smirks

overall - Kerry had bush* on the defensive. bush* had to reach back into his stump speeches and just do a broken record about Kerry changing positions... got tired real fast

Everytime bush* mentioned "changing positions" - Kerry responded by restating his position and emphasizing that he has been consistent

Then bush* starts in on how 'hard' everything is, being president is hard, it's a hard job, hard to fight terra-ists, hard to lead yadda yadda yadda

I said to my partner "Sounds like a replay of the 2000 debates, except in 2000 everything was large. 'I wuz gover-ner of a large state, texas is a large state, united states is a large country -- etc. etc etc..."

my partner replied - "Hard? Large? put it together and it sounds like he's talking about his penis."

me: "Penis!? PENIS!? OH My GOD - impeach him!"
