A major reason why the media has had no choice but to call it for Kerry is due to Jeff Greenfield. A few days ago Jeff Greenfield said the debate format favored president scrub. Then all the politicos jumped on ship. scrubbie will win the debate the lemmings cried.
scrub lost and they're left without an effective way to spin the debate in scrubs favor.
I don't know a lot about jeff greenfield's politics, but Thank You Jeff. You helped scuttle the scrubbies for now.

the second the debate was over. He kind of set the tone, except for Candy Crowley who essentially said nothing ("if you can't say anything good," etc.) --

5. And Jeff Greenfield said something like this,

"I almost hate to use the word, but Kerry looked as presidential as the president" (I may be paraphrasing a bit but that is the meaning of what he said.) WHILE I was shouting DON'T HATE TO SAY IT. SAY IT. SAY, 'KERRY LOOKED PRESIDENTIAL. GEORGE BUSH DID NOT. TELLL THE TRUTH'. Well, I guess we got a reluctant partial truth out of Jeff Greenfield last night...and Leslie Blitzer was as serious as anyone attending a funeral can be.

6. I thought Greenfield ALMOST said Kerry looked more Presidential...

7. I don't remember the exact quote he said but he prefaced it with,

"I hate to say this", or "I almost hate to say this" and then went on and said that Kerry was as presidential looking as bush... or perhaps he said kerry looked more presidential ..... the point i am trying to make is, he sort of apologized for what he was about to say, but he did say it. I wish I had the exact quote of what he said.
