I've seen no comment on the "100,000 cops" Smirky factoid
How many of them have taken their training and never been heard from since because they fear reprisals? How many have given info to Al Qaeda that resulted in American deaths and casualties? How many run and hide when the shooting breaks out? And Kerry was right on when he pointed out all the money spent on Iraqi police and fire services when they go wanting here in the USA.

2. NPR had a 'truth squad' report this morning and called him on it
Not as forcefully as I'd have liked, but :shrug:

On Kerry, all they could get was $200 million on Iraq as an exaggeration, and the decrease in funding for international securement of nuclear materials has actually increased under Bush.

They hammered Bush's 'exaggerations' a lot more, but still wore the kid gloves. But hey, it's NPR, what do you expect?
