If Cheney tries his "Kerry cuts defense" schtick again slap him with this:
From the Wall Street Journal 2/7/90:

As the accompanying chart shows, under Mr. Cheney's budget, the U.S. is fast heading toward historic postwar spending lows, down to 4% of the economy. If the U.S. wants to continue as a superpower, it won't be able to spend much less and be credible. History suggests that tumultuous events like those in the Eastern bloc do not always lead smoothly to peace, and future threats from terrorists and terrorist nations are likely to grow with technological advance. Mr. Cheney is laying plans to adjust to new realities, but a faster demobilization would scarcely seem prudent.

It sums up nicely that the downfall of the defense is layed directly on Cheney's shoulders and he needs to be called on it...
