Normally a very opinionated, arrogant bunch, I've noticed they've stayed pretty quiet this morning around here. :D

5. Oh man, it was great! Dead silence, and just yesterday he was gloating
Our receptionist is this young guy who I guess thinks Bush is tough or something. On my way out yesterday he was like, going to watch my boy beat up on Kerry tonight?

Walked by this am and it was like he didn't even want to look at me.

7. I received a phone call this morning
& was told to leave my comments at home. Of course the reason this happened is whenever someone at work says something about Kerry, I'm johnny on the spot. The phone call was just another preemptive strike which also will fail. LOL.

11. Geeze, where the hell do you work?
Not asking you to answer that, just expressing the incredulity. That TOTALLY SUCKS. I mean it is one thing for someone AT work to say something if it is perceived that expressing a political opinion is somehow or other interfering with the work to be done, but to preemptively suggest you 'leave your comments at home' is just infuriating.

9. talked to my heavily republican leaning boss....
said that he thought the debate was a tie and did not contribute to anything... I shot back with the fact that this was supposed to be *'s strong point and now it's going to be a real fight... he changed the subject...! :P

20. How could Bush have "won"?
His policies and positions are intellectually and morally bankrupt.

16. Here's a question I asked that worked...
"How do you think your guy did last night?"

I asked the Freeper sitting next to me and he said, "Don't ask. It was embarassing and painful." I acted surprised that he thought that and said, "I didn't think Bush was any different than he ever is."

I've never known anyone more "staunch" than this guy and he said he's afraid this is a turning point against Bush.

17. I work in a very Republican workplace
A nuclear reactor. It has been very very quiet this morning. It is almost like these people are in mourning. On the other hand, the Dems and liberals around here are upbeat, laughing and chattering away about the debate. And completely ignoring the dirty looks we're getting from the 'Pugs.

18. Mixed reaction
Near-universal agreement that Bush sucked.

But I'm hearing a lot of "that debate wasn't enough to influence anyone's vote."

Pretty subdued overall.

22. Heh! They would say that now.
Before yesterday, the debate was going to be the turning point to send Bush straight to victory and Kerry would be lucky to tie.

Now the debate doesn't seem so important to his followers. :)

24. The repugs around here
didn't even watch it. Don't care. Already made up their minds. Like talking to a brick wall.

This is a "food stamp fraud recovery" office.

25. Bush should concentrate
on not looking absolutely terrified. That's his strong suit down the toobs with the distinct sound of a toilet being flushed in the foreground.

Rational thought/arguments will be of no interest to his remaining supporters.
