Kerry demonstrates the self-confidence of a man comfortable in his own skin ... and one who sees in others their lovable and capable individuality. When he places his hands on others, it's not manipulating and demeaning - it's with respect. (Junior handles people like he handles his dog ... clumsily and manipulatingly.)

13. Next time you see the bush inauguration film

watch Bush greet people after his speech. He walks up to his daughters and shakes their hands. Laura whispers something in his ear and he goes back to the daughters and gives them a little cheek kiss.

14. He is a sincere and generous person

His intro words of thanks were honest and sincere whereas Bush sounded like he'd had no plans to say anything of the sort and had to kind of search for words. He was gracious about Chimpy's family (notice Chimpy did not mention Theresa AT ALL) and at the end, it was Kerry and THK who reached out to the Chimp family and not the other way around.

And wasn't the applause beautiful!
