must read...kerry impressed a repub friend of mine |
|
here's what he had to say in an e-mail (gotta love it). i am surrounded by freepers too:
The reason I called is because I wanted to talk to you about the debate. I enjoyed it too. And I went into it with an open mind because I think that was the right thing to do. To be honest I was dumbfounded. I was truly impressed by Kerry. He actually had Bush nervous and on the defensive. I couldn't believe it! I also agreed with most of what Kerry said. I guess I am a little in shock. I've heard on the news that most Republicans think Bush won last night. Are they blind and deaf or what? Am I the only conservative who thinks Kerry did a better job? What were your thoughts on the debate? If I was just pulled out of a cave, with no knowledge of either candidate's stance on issues and my vote was based solely on last night's debate, I would have to choose Kerry. Did I just say that??? Well, I have to get back to work. I will talk to you later.

1. For Republicans who have only relied on soundbites |
|
but have a brain-that is what will happen.

2. Nice to hear a clear-thinking Repub.. |
|
who is honest with himself.
I hope he follows through on this line of thinking and doesn't revert to the GOP-cocoon world where Bush is Churchill and Kerry is a flip-flopping megalomaniac.
