My boss just told me he's voting for Kerry |
|
We just had our monthly feedback meeting. He and I have a good relationship already, but we're somewhat split on politics. He voted for * last time around. He doesn't like Bush, but was on the fence...until last night. His wife as well.
He asked if I watched the debate, and we discussed. He said, "you know, I'm not happy with Bush, but I was keeping an open mind. Now, I feel good about voting for Kerry." Then he launched into a tirade about Katherine Harris running for office.

Repeat this event a few hundred thousand times across the nation and I think we've got them on the run.

he also told me that he's already having run ins with siblings over it, so he's already talking to others, too.
It's not like it's a freeper conversion, but he's definitely smack in the middle of the Bush demographic. Very religious, family man, conservative, etc. I'm gonna give him a John Kerry sticker and see if he puts it on...

7. Another Florida Republican for Kerry |
|
we need a bumper sticker!
My daughter-in-law took one of my
John Kerry 2004 A President we can salute with more than one finger
stickers to give to a Republican she works with. and yes, he put it on his car - 'Fahrenheit 911' floored him.
My son gave one to his boss - who immediately went out and put it on his van.

...both staunch Republicans, are voting for Kerry after seeing the debate. "It's a question of simple competence," says my father-in-law. I wish they lived in a swing state, but they're in CA.

8. It's still good, we want big numbers. |
|
Popular vote as well as electoral vote. A rout will help Kerry when he's president.

9. Last night was Kerry's Ronald Reagan moment |
|
In 1980, Americans were dissatisfied with Jimmy Carter, but didn't know if they could trust Reagan as president. He did well in the first debate, and then never looked back. He sold himself to the American people that night, and I think so did Kerry last night.

This is exactly why the debate last night is a HUGE win for President Kerry. There's plenty of people out there dissatisfied with Former Governor Bush's performance in office, but who are taken in by the Bush campaign & SCLM negative spin. Only one of the two looked and sounded like a true leader last night and it wasn't that whiny little wimp Bush.
