"Nobody TOLD ME to go to the United Nations. I went there myself!" |
|
What the fuck did that mean?? He's the President of the United States, who could possibly have _told_him_ to go -- and where does he get this idea that it's deserving of praise that the president of the US did something "himself", without being told to do it?
"Uncka Dick didn't even have to tell me!!! I did it myself!!!"

And ridiculed them and browbeat them and basically told them it was his way or the highway. Great diplomacy there, sport!

It was a response to Kerry saying that Bush was told to go to UN (don't recall by who)
* made quite a few truly idiotic statements yesterday, plenty of stuff to work with.

Very odd thing to say. Almost as though he were bragging about following the Rule of Law. Not that he has since... BHN

4. As I recall, he went after much public pressure to go and after |
|
insisting that it wasn't necessary. Later, he claims it was his idea and offers it as evidence that he didn't make a unilateral decision.

8. He doesn't have to explain to anyone anything about waht he says |
|
they are the ones that have to explain to him
and it is this kind of arrogance that is his downfall--he makes the statement to appear as if he is a decisive man--the truth is that he CANNOT explain what he says because he himself is indeed out of the loop and someone else is running the show--probably Cheney and his private cabinet.
It is his downfall--this acting and staging without being aware of a single thing, or a single fact, that causes him to lie, also.
He will be laughed back to Crawford in disgrace. It will be interesting to note when Kerry beats the pants off of him, who he will try to blame his miserable failure on.
