My kids just cracked me up -- "playing President" |
|
My 4- and 2-year-old are home today and they have a little friend over, Shawna, age 4. They decided to do their own rebroadcast of the debates. Shawna was the moderator, seated at a desk. My 4-yr-old was Kerry, standing behind a stuffed giraffe, and the 2-yr-old was told to stand behind a stuffed bear and be Bush. So, Shawna began asking questions: "Would you be a mean President?" and so-forth. I enjoyed the show and then left the room.
Next thing I know there is a huge rukus in the debate hall. I go in and the 2-yr-old is trying to pummel the 4-yr-old. I separated them and the 4-yr-old tells me, "He wants to be Kerry, Momma. But he has to be Bush because he doesn't speak too good."
Ain't it the truth, baby. :)

Out of the mouth of babes! Well, in "The Emperor's New Clothes" it's a little girl who first states the obvious. Wasn't Andersen a genius? :-)

My friend called me this morning to rehash the debates, and the entire time I could hear her 2 year old saying "Bad Bush! Baaaad Bush!" Cracked me up!

Making the other child be Bush. How humiliating. What did he expect?:)

10. You'd probably like mine -- in smaller doses, of course |

While most of their little friends are crazy about Dora the Explorer, Blue's Clues and so-forth; my two idiolize Pinky and the Brain. :) Samantha (4) tells everyone, "Bubbs (2) is Pinky and I'm the Brain." Unfortunately, she's being very honest -- she hatches the world domination schemes and he's a much willing participant.
You haven't seen a thing until you've witnessed what these two can do with a bottle of baby powder, a packet of kool-aid, a jar of mayo and the family cat.

16. Oh my...a bottle of baby powder. |
|
You reminded me of a time when my son was about 2 years old. He took a bottle of baby powder, opened all of his drawers and proceeded to powder every piece of clothing, the tops of the dressers, his bed, his floor...everywhere he could possibly reach, he sprinkled with baby powder. Ah...the memories.

said last night that he "hates Bush" because "he's going to draft me when I'm 18."

13. that's the funniest news analysis I've heard all day! |
|
They should invite your kids to be on the show (Jon Stewart? Conan?) where they have child stand-ins reading parts of political debates, etc.
