SNIP....""A quick update from what by all accounts was an amazing event in DC this week. Governor Dean turned up for a reception where over 300 people came to support Democracy for America. (It would have been more, but the venue was forced to turn away more than 50 people at the door for safety reasons.)"

SNIP..."There to celebrate were several old friends: Senator Tom Harkin of Iowa, Rep. Jesse Jackson of Illinois, Rep. Neil Abercrombie of Hawaii, and Senator Jon Corzine of New Jersey, all of whom thanked the Governor and everyone there for their passion and hard work on behalf of Democrats everywhere."

SNIP..."Among those Democrats we're fighting for, of course, are the Dean Dozen. Virginia's own James Socas, Dean Dozen candidate for U.S. House, was there. And Governor Dean asked Sen. Harkin to take back to Iowa with him contributions from DFA to several Dean Dozen and other candidates running there..."

2. I admire their passion for the grassroots candidates.
I really do. I don't remember any Democrats doing this before.

4. This should be exciting to all Democrats.
But they do not pay much attention to this aspect of politics.

6. I love how so many of the supported candidates are making a difference.
Not all are winning, but they are waking the other side up for sure.

7. What a Beautiful picture..all those
Smiling Dems! Dean has never let up a minute! And look how far Betty Castro has gone..another Dean Dozen!

This is a nice follow up to seeing Dean on Tavis Smiley Wednesday night when he said "Kerry will do just fine in the debates"!:D

9. How I love getting the news about Dean
And I've become a genuine Harkin fan too. I LOVED him at the Wellstone Memorial, and I loved his Town Hall forums for all the candidates last year. Class act and a populist to boot.

Thanks, madfloridian!! :hi:

10. We are just very proud how far this organization has come so quickly.
It is really amazing. The last letter from Lindsay Lewis about how much was being doled out to candidates is amazing.
