A Veteran's Salute to Dan Rather
I know that Rather is not the nations favorite anchor now, however, his FALLEN HEROES segment is well appreciated. He spends a few seconds saluting a servicemember who has been killed in Iraq. It is very well produced and touches on the members non military life. It brings tears to my eyes every evening. If bush is reselected I will be shedding alot of tears. If you don't normally watch CBS, check it out just once, see if that segment doesn't jerk the tears from your eyes. Of course, I know that such a response will not occur among conservatives. They have to be resolute and on message.

1. I am with you. CBS has always done this type of programming and
I believe it is one of the most effective networks for putting a face on the real losses of the war.

2. They are providing the public a valuable service...
by showing the cost of war.

Whereas Fox News and the rest of the whores are doing their best to destroy our society.

3. Brings tears to my eyes every night too
And to think, this is nearly the ONLY coverage of any kind that honors our war dead at all. This is especially poignant because of the brief personal descriptions for each one. It's a shame CBS can't do all of the dead -- but nowadays there are just too many, aren't there?
