They showed two sets of undecided voters and Kerry was overwhelmingly the favorite.

1. I'm sure RoveCo has been pouring over tapes of EVERY
broadcast last night, and today. Wouldn't be a bit surprised if shrub isn't getting slapped around right now. After all their efforts, he went out there and screwed it up anyway!!!

3. Bush Passes the Buck
You are assuming that Bush accepts blame for his miserable performance. That doesn't happen. Bush is probably ragging some junior staff person for failing to anticipate questions that Bush whiffed on.

5. I disagree
I'd bet that Rove told Bush that he did great and everyone on the news agrees that he was the winner. Bush can't take criticism, especially from the bosses.

13. I saw Rove in the spin room on C-span last night
He was in a very agitated state. Wow, he was rambling off replies (spin) to Kerry "accusations" 100 miles per hour!!!!!! He kept turning around to talk to reporters behind him, in front of him, beside him. He ranted off much of the same shit as before: "Kerry keeps changing his position yada yada". Then he up and sped out of the room.

I don't think I've EVER seen him on TV as long as that. He was swamped by reporters and he looked sweaty.

4. Matthews said no President has won election without winning the debates
Edited on Fri Oct-01-04 09:42 PM by wishlist
By end of show, consensus was that Kerry clearly won debate. Tweety or final guest mentioned that Bush Campaign reaction today proved they knew they lost (whatever that meant, I didnt catch it all)

No wonder several networks are making such a big deal to point out how the perceived winner could change in a few days (spinning it as though somehow Bush could become perceived as the winner!) Seems to be some frantic worrying and spinning now that Kerry has more than a chance of winning.

12. Well if you didn't see the Reagan - Mondale debates
Reagan was a lot like chimpy in the last one. Mondale even tripped him up on the "There you go again" line.

17. Reagan knew how to act so
he could be taught. I'm afraid the same is not true for the chimperor. It will not improve.

21. Only in debate one (according to the polls)
In debate two Reagan made some jokes and didn't hemhaw as much, so he was declared the winner, and the polls followed suit.

16. Please explain how Rove can openly work on the campaign..
.. while we're paying his salary to work in the White House. I never understood why other campaigns are so hamstrung as it relates to using regular staff and resources for campaigning. How can Bush use ROVE and McClellan, etc. regularly for his campaign when WE pay their salaries as taxpayers?? Doesn't the FEC frown on this/??????????

20. Rove is just going to beat up on any commentator that says Kerry won.
He'll just threaten their children, and the news will turn back to bush walking on water....water he made himself!!

Rove is a bully, a liar, and a demon. There is NOTHING he does that shows honesty or integrity or positive character traits. He will make sure anyone that has said "Kerry won!" will get an ear-full from their employers, and possibly from white house staff directly.
