Yup another hurray the debate post : the re-rebuttal minute |
|
did anyone notice how Bush was immediately asking for the extra rebuttal (30 secs) when Kerry finished a particularly strong rebuttal? (and there were a lot of those)
Bush was asking for it or speaking already right away. Extremely defensive behaviour.
Of course, Jim Lehrer granted it every time (often already during the giggling murderer's ranting)
Kerry didn't do that ONCE, that made him sound (I didn't watch) a lot more presidential than Bush.
Or did Kerry request them with inaudible hand signals?

|

Of all the dumb things Shrub did last night, that had to be the dumbest. I mean, he would start babbling, and then when granted the extra time, he just stammered senselessly for several seconds before any actual words came out of his mouth. There was one point I thought he'd finally completely frozen, but he somehow recovered enough to speak. He didn't say anything intelligent, but he did speak.
If I hadn't been enjoying it so much, it would have been painful to watch.

6. I agree RoyGBiv.... I was amazed how he stumbled on the most basic of |
|
issues. He was an amature at best... like a little kid raising his hand... teacher teacher....pick me... and then not having anything to say...
Needless to say I went to sleep with a grin on my face....

7. If I let myself think about it ... |
|
This would really scare the crap out of me.
The guy had no sense of composure. And it was just a debate. Can you even imagine him at the helm during, say, the Cuban Missile Crisis? If he had been, I doubt I ever would have been born.
This "so angry I can't talk straight" thing might give him points with a certain, brain-dead demographic, but it is truly frightening.
Now I gotta go stop thinking about it ...

8. It is a VERY scary thought.... to think that he is actually the commander |
|
of the most powerful military on the planet. I just hope that he doesn't get desperate and do something terrible to "shake" things up before the election.... I wouldn't put ANYTHING past this guy.

2. Kerry did it a few times ... |
|
Not nearly as many times as Bush did, but a few. Kerry was always polite about, briefly raising his hand, offering a facial gesture, something like that.
Bush did that once, maybe twice. Afterward, Bush just started babbling and sort of dared Lehrer to shut him up.
