Junior Melissa Tucker also attended the rally to support Bush, although she said many people with Kerry signs tried to block her during the event. She said it wasn't Dean's place to call Bush a liar. "There's a lot of people out there saying Bush is a liar," she said. "I don't understand their authority."

1. I am in college
And there are a lot of dummies in both camps.

Too focused on beer and partying and not on studying.

2. This isn't just dumb.
If she dresses alone, wouldn't she have heard by now what grants us the "authority" to speak freely?

3. Education /= Intelligence.
High schools, colleges and universities don't teach people how to reason or to think critically.

The American educational system is designed to produce workers and consumers.

5. Sadly many people old and young
are this ignorant. Education doesn't necessarily erase it.

10. I don't think she's "educated."
I think she's trained. That's sadly an acceptable substitute at altogether too many schools.

6. This former college professor says that
while this level of ignorance is not typical, it is still not uncommon.

9. She's a good, little authoritarian reichbot.
She regards "critical thinking" as mutinous. She does what she's told by the authorities in her life: parents, teachers, preachers, Miss Manners, and paternal politicians.

Parents (not all) reward this.
Teachers (not all) reward this.
Preachers (all) reward this.

She's political cannon fodder.
