This may be the last way to get the word out, since the librul media's been completely taken over by conservative corporations.

4. Wages lower than when Reaganomics began---------- {adjusted for inflation}
Edited on Sat Oct-02-04 07:05 AM by oscar111
This is a MAJOR point, since all our grief of cut social programs , flowed from the tax cuts of reaganomics.

The public swallowed reaganomics, and till we end their belief in reaganomics, we will never get our social programs back. Hammer reaganomics constantly.

PS retardicans call their overall strategy {tax cuts, necessitating benefit cuts} --- "starve the beast"

They want to totally end all welfare, etc, like 1920. Milton Friedman, econo. guru, said "government has only three functions... military, courts, treasury" Paraphrased.

Do you see there, any food stamps, AFDC, homeless housing, unemp. benefits, or ss pension, or Medicare? He, and repubs, aim to end all that.

Reaganomics is their method.

6. I've seen several here in Michigan...
Edited on Sat Oct-02-04 08:41 AM by KzooDem
Had to drive through a section of rural Southwest Michigan last weekend, which typically leans pretty heavily to the Republican side of things.

In at least 5 or 6 rural yards I saw LARGE (at least 4' x 6') Pro-Kerry / Anti-Bush signs erected. The one that stuck out in my mind was: "I served with the troops for 15 years and I support John Kerry."

It's notable that I saw these signs in rural SW Michigan, but it's more notable that people are so pissed off that they would actually go out on a limb and risk ridicule and harassment by others in this very conservative, Republican area for making their opinions known.

The talking heads, the puking pundits, the right-wing chattering class can all keep trying to blow their hot air up the public's ass, but I have a very visceral feeling that they underestimate the number of people who aren't buying the lies they have to sell.
