after bush botched the debate and revealed his true cockroach form, they who have stolen the presidency must now do something dramatic to retain their fascist control.
it's october, and it's just too quiet for me.................

they are not going to sit back and allow the debates to define the final stage of the campaign. Edwards will expose Cheney as a vile criminal, and then the pressure will really be on Bush next weekend ... and the republican campaign knows that is dangerous for them. I quoted from Molly Ivan's book (Shrub, page 52) about a memo that Karl Rove wrote, explaining the need to have GWB avoid speaking to the press or in unscripted public appearances. They felt that the 1st debate was Bush's strong point. So they must be planning interference.

3. I totally expect for Edwards to expose Cheney as you described.. |
|
and help to deliver us the victory. I think the Edwards/Cheney debate is going to be very pivotal. It's up to Edwards to expose the snake oil dealings of the misadministration.

5. I've noted a couple republicans |
|
saying the VP debate is not that important. Baloney. Bush "picked" Cheney in order to reassure the country in 2000 that he had a mature and stable guy to help on foreign policy. Cheney has obviously played a huge role in making our foreign policy an extension of Halliburton's business interests.
The republicans know that Cheney has to "beat" Edwards in much the manner that Kerry blasted Bush in debate #1. If not, far too much pressure will be on GWB come Friday's debate.
Thus, look for Cheney to try to take a "controlled aggressive" approach. And, for our needs, that is simply wonderful, because John Edwards is an intensely talented advocate of the hard-working, middle class America that is being raped and robbed by the controlled aggression of the Cheney-Halliburton machine. Cheney will not be able to keep up to Edward's pace for 90 minutes. (Remember, Cheney's strong suit is small, informal meetings of 6 to 8 people, and especially one-on-one behind closed doors. There is no reason to assume he is a capable of staying with Edwards.)
I look forward to Tuesday's debate, and to the joy it will bring us on DU!!!!

Back on topic, I think they're busy spinning the media and seeing if they can pull it off.

Madam Zola's prediction: if bush* screws up on the town hall debate (10/8) -- we will either go to a national ORANGE alert, or the Hocus-Potus will pull bin-Laden out of his hat

Actually, for the first time this year, I feel fairly confident that the Cabal does not have Osama tucked away somewhere waiting for the right moment to reveal him. I don't believe the Petulant Prick could have resisted blurting out "I got him already!" when Senator Kerry kept pointing out that Bin Laden escaped the inept clutches of the Beloved Cheerleader in Tora Bora.

12. After the debate of Thursday, it may be possible to consider... |
|
that the Democrats & Kerry-Edwards, may have some great defenses, great offenses, and, hopefully playing a great game of political chess; staying five or more moves ahead of your opponent.
