HOW could terrorists disrupt our election process, really?
i mean, BESIDES the terrorists who currently occupy our white house, how would so called terrorists actually hijack or disrupt our election? i don't see how they could. i suppose terrorist bush could cancel the elections saying we've been attacked again or declareing a national emergency, but i don't see how 'al qaeda' or some other mysterious group could prevent us from going to the polls in mass numbers.

2. Wait..."BESIDES the terrorists who currently occupy our white house" ???
I got nuthin.

They keep floating this contingency out there, but even the most fanatical neocon is nervous about giving up their voting privileges.

3. They don't have to cancel the elections
They just have to make it more inconvenient and people will give up their voting privelidges voluntarily. Like, say, what if they declare a state of emergency and close all the roads to traffic? You could technically still vote, but you have to walk there. I hate to say it, but how many people would walk to their polling place.

Just one of a thousand ways they could do this.

5. The real enemy is WITHIN our "body politic"
No terrorist can have a direct material effect on our elections. Only the extreme right radicals in positions of authority can, and would, do that. Bushbot election officials, fascist federal officials, corporatist media, and brown-shirted freeptards are both willing and eager to disrupt urban voting. Their "target" (anyone against the Chimperor) is far more concentrated than the 'collateral damage' - and there will be disruption. Any kind of "terrorist attack" will only be used as an excuse to maintain fascist power.

6. they will just do what they did in 2000
disenfranchise and/or intimidate democratic voters
pretend recounting votes is an evil communist plot
create faux yuppie riots to stop voted from being counted
rely on partisan judges to rule in their favor

i fully expect them to attempt the same kind of terrorism in 2004 that was so successful in 2000. and of course, they also have the option of repeating what they did in 2001.
