all those millions of people the nazis killed, and all the millions who fought and died to conquer them, are disgraced if we don't stop the nazi/fascists who've hijacked OUR white house. we've learned almost NOTHING from the history of world war two.

3. Seymour Hersch said it best on Jon Stewart
paraphrase-was our democracy so weak that they could take over so easily.. what busts my ass that these guys demonize the democrats that have died in the wars to save our democracy from clear and defined enemies...

5. Hersh is part of the problem....
the 800 pound gorilla of american politics is the neofascist controlled mass media, which relentlessly claims it is 'liberal'.....Mr Hersh has never confronted this monster, in fact, his record indicates he has their interest at heart somewhat. proof of hersh's true colours is his covering role in KAL 007 shootdown....and KAL 007, which is totally forgotten, was a dry run for the later BFEE media operations re the 2k election and 911 etc. No major look at the role newsmewdia has played in WARPING perceptions across the board and this effect on society has ever been undertaken, and won't because, well there'd be mass executions if truth ever got out ...
again, the irony is that geeb (not to be confused with geb, the younger asswipe brother) is ruining the very thing the 800 pound gorilla needs to survive....lol

4. What did we fight World War II for?
If Bush is elected, wouldn't we be negating our victory in World War II?

7. I think we fought WWII to
stop Germany from controlling all of Europe and more.

If Bush is elected, I don't see German tanks approaching the Urals or crossing the English Channel, so no, I don't think a Bush election would negate our victory in WWII.

8. I was talking about our democratic rights
Did you read the post yesterday from the guy who was arrested for riding his bike in a park NEAR where Bush was speaking?

He was handcuffed and in jail for 3 hours.

I do not remember anything close to this happening in my lifetime, not even during the Vietnam War demonstrations.

9. To maintain Anglo-American hegemony ?
We fought the Japanese because they attacked us and threatened to control Asia. We fought Germany to prevent them from controlling Europe. Both Japan and Germany had upset a balance of power that was favourable to the USA and Britain. We didn't like that.

Off the top of my head, I can't think of any other reasons.
