Many years ago my uncle with over 400 credits and a lifetime teaching degree out of Texas and is now a bail bondsman in California after he passed the test to be a lawyer, called football, "social masturbation". Go figure. The Bolano Brothers are supposed to be coming up.

I forgot to mention he served in the military and he was also a cop in Anaheim and a whistle blower on the Anaheim PD, as a result he wound up going to jail for having a German gun from World War II.

14. You're really going to regret getting me started... ^_^

I used to be neutral about football....... to each their own, y'know....? BUT...... after living in Denvoid and seeing just how destructive the fanaticism is, I am an outspoken critic.

1. Football is a *business*, fercryinginabucket, yet people vote for TAXES to give the head of the company to build their empire!

2. People give up their own priorities in order to pander to the city team. When I saw churches building their schedules around the Bronco schedule, that really tore it up for me. Aren't they familiar with the 1st commandment????

3. The violence that it promotes and the terrible role modeling for younger citizens is appalling. So many of these "stars" have been caught time after time abusing women, raping women, etc. To then remember that we support this with tax money.......... words fail.

3.b. The shelters for abused women fill to overfull after each Bronco game.... win or lose. Think about that one.

4. Last, but not least, our model now for international diplomacy is "kick their butts". People get all keyed up from watching the games, and it has become confused in their minds with how we should handle our national policies.

Is that enough of a list of condemnation?
