If there is a God then the BBV machines will sontaneously combust!!!
But it is foolish to hope for divine intervention. So if there are any patriots out there with the wherewithall to protect the integrity of our vote and you decide to do so please target the machines in Ohio, N.H., Pa., N.J., Mo., and Fla.

1. I figure Fla has got a hurricane based
glitch in the system already, and the bluebird of paradise is about to fly up George's nose.

Don't quote me on that, it is just this feeling every time I see him on TV that he is about to start barking on camera.

3. Maybe not combust
More like the "blue screen of death."

(Just for that potential alone, rests a good rationale for voter verified paper ballots)

2. I Was Hoping Florida's Machines Were In One of Those Buildings...
...we saw on TV that had been reduced to rubble, or at least one of
the ones that lost its roof and had its contents soaked with 6" of rain.

No such luck, eh?

4. If people are to stupid to operate those simple machines
then they ought to stay home.

9. Which simple machines are you referring to?
Would that be the machines that have election software designed by convicted computer embezzlers or the machines that have a well-established history of malfunctions that range from undetectable to so massive that in another context the error would almost be funny?

The idea that voters who are too stupid to use the equipment should go home is such a flawed argument that it almost is not worth rebutting. Nevertheless:

1) The most intelligent person in the world cannot determine at the polling place while "operating the machine" whether their electronic ballot is being tampered with internally (whether in the touchscreen device or later, in the central tabulator.)

2) Even if voter skill was an issue with these machines (it is not the issue of prime concern in the black box voting movement), even considering a "too unskilled to vote" issue is beneath progressives.

Voting is not a skills test. Voting is an exercise of democratic franchise. If the machine were too complicated, that's a design problem, not a voter problem. If ballots are confusing, that's a design problem, not a voter problem.

The exercise of the franchise must be available to every American, regardless of education, economic status, disability status, language (remember, the USA has no official language) or any other condition or status.

5. perhaps the sign from god is...
our free will to oppose using these machines, and the presence of
international election observers. You may ask God to help you find
a way to justice, and in that very prayer, God is answering.

The democratic party, i'm sure is being helped by God to monitor and
pursue fraud as much as it can. If there was no god, you would not
care. God wants us to win this thing! :-)

7. Could be we're being punished for being a greedy and war-mongering nation.
I will REALLY convinced of this if Bush should happen to be re-installed again...

Look at what happened to former superpower Rome(the Roman empire).
