A strange thing about Bush... |
|
...I noticed during the debate is that he is starting to look more and more like a cartoon of himself. His ears are sticking out more, and his chimp-like features are becoming more pronounced. I swear, watching him talk is like seeing a newspaper cartoon come to life.

1. I noticed that too. He looks like the various ape likenesses that |
|
that cartoonists like Toles have been using.

2. I think George may be a very sick man. |

And I don't mean that in a nasty way. I listened to the debate last week on the radio and I was struck by the change in Bush's voice. Maybe you can only pick that up on the radio. I've seen the various pictures of him posted here and chalk that up to the fact that you can snap anybody in a bad moment...but his voice and the fact that he seemed genuinely confused the other night, says to me that the guy is at a breaking point. He seems really confused and somewhat disoriented and he does not seem to be in control of himself...Rove must be tearing his hair out...in a way, I am beginning to pity GWB.

4. There is only so much to which one can subject his or her conscience |
|
Even as evil as Shrub and the cabal is. Lying, covering lies, lying about covering lies. Stealing from the poor to give to the rich. Playing mind games with religious people. Trying to colonize the world to rape it for its resources. If Shrub is looking a little worse for the wear, that is to be expected.

8. it's not his conscience |
|
if dubya doesn't get more presidential terms than his father, his "manhood" suffers.

3. I have noticed the change in his voice for some time now |
|
The pitch has changed. It's higher. He's starting to sound like a teenager whose voice hasn't matured. Could this be happening as a result of some drug he is taking, or is he naturally starting to manufacture less testosterone?

You can tell. His body language shows it, his voice shows it, the way he fumbles for words shows it. He's shrill, he's defensive, his voice rises at the end of sentences so that he sounds like he's trying to convince the audience (compared to Kerry, whose sentences were ending strongly on a low note which conveys conviction - big difference).
He knows he's in trouble in this election.

5. Maybe it's because I never watch him... and I wasn't going to watch but |
|
I was stunned by how obvious it was that the man isn't up to the job. And I thought he was going to lose it. The man was an embarrassment. It just leaves me wondering what the hell is going on with so many Americans that they see him as "likeable, a leader, strong, moral, the kind of guy you want to have a beer with." Oh heck, these are all Karl Rove mind games, but come on folks.
A cartoon is the nicest thing to say. He's an embarassment. It's so obvious that he's incompetent.

7. he's a media creation. |
|
he said it in the beginning and now the media has lost interest. Jeez the people behind him are probably waiting for a meltdown at any given moment. For one, I can't wait till it happens. Hope it's on national television.
