1. They'll push Bush's sound bites...
... for all their worth, pump up the ads, have the mighty Wurlitzer cranked up to full blast and hope that advertising and PR will undo the damage before election day.

If they lose, and lose big, they'll start plotting for 2008. If they lose very small, expect Florida-style election interference in multiple states.

Canceling elections. If Bush can't defend his war on terror, his main selling point, I doubt he'll do any better on the economy and health care.

He's gonna lose badly and all Kerry has to do is bring up the fact that Bush is the first president since Herbert Hoover to have a net loss of jobs during his term.

4. Hey, JM! How ya been?
They will go. They'll be ingracious, whiny, and bitter but they'll leave. There's no alternative. After all, they sent the entire National Guard to Iraq. ;)

13. Don't get me started about the hurricanes!
The eye of Charley passed over me. We tried to run away from Frances...only to have it follow us up to the Smokies. And a week after we came home Jeanne dropped an assload of rain and wind on us for over 36 hours. My neighborhood doesn't look the same anymore. A good number of the trees are gone. It sucks mightily.

Still, it the hurricanes were easier to bear than listening to the Drunken Wimp Chimp babble the other night.

7. I Think The Debates Will Contribute Significantly To Kerry's Win
I think people are paying attention and I think people are a lot smarter than we want to give them credit for. Bush did not show well at the first debate and its likely that his demeanor will deteriorate further as the subject matter moves into areas where his record should be an embarrassment to him. People are coming to see him for the poorly informed, stubborn, didactic, and immature all in one. The man is loosing support rapidly and it is the debates that are at the point of that fall.

try to drown it out. What kinda got me thinking thins morning is are we celebrating too much? Will expectations be too high? Now i cant see *ush doing well in a debate on the economy, but i have to wonder are we expecting to much?

12. Plan "A" is to win outright. Plan "B" is to steal it at the ballot box
If both of the next two debates are blowouts by Kerry, they will move to Plan "C".

Plan "C" is an all out push to lobby, cajole, and threaten Kerry electors to change their vote.

I recall a Texas reporter who knows Karl Rove well telling a story about a call he received on his way home where Karl told him he knew where he lived, where his family was, and that he was on his way home on this particular highway. He also told him he had the power to send a patriot missile at him.

Think it can't happen? I don't care how many electoral votes Kerry wins. This thing will not be over until Kerry is sworn in and Bush leaves the White House. Count on it.

My greatest fear is that they'll feel compelled to implement Plan "D".
