Freepers: "OMG, it's a vast Left-Wing Conspiracy against Bush!" |
|
People on DU have been keeping track of what Freepers had to say about the Debate recently: Kerry had the answers already Kerry knew all the questions Blah, Blah, Blah
And this one: Kerry pulled Bush close to him making his tie come lose, and it made him look unprofessional.
And then there is the RNC, Greg Palast told us that people were out to give the Delegates a hard time, like giving them directions to awful places and such.
I don't know about Conspiracies, there might be a Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy, there might not. But, I do know this, there is a Double Standard, and that puts Democracy at risk.

The word "conspiracy" usually denotes harmful or illegal, so that is certainly the wrong word to use in this context.
Democrats are literally out to harm them? We would resort to illegal activities to hurt their political ideology? The word may have some punch but it seems to apply more to the tactics being used by the Right.
In any case, we have strategy. We have resolve. We, like our candidate, inform ourselves, stay on the mark, and resort to using truth and fairness as our weapons of choice in this ideological battle.
I have seen more people ask questions here about what they were not sure of than I have seen in the other camp's corral. I see more concern about the source of information and fact-checking amongst Liberals and Democrats in general
One can imagine that this is one of the reasons we are winning. This is why we will win. We don't seem to rely on mere assumptions, hearsay, and party propaganda to form the bulk of our views and determine our alliances and responses.

2. I;ve been lurking over there lately |

And it seems like in every post there is someone saying "don't forget about MASSIVE voter fraud on the part of the Dems".
Looks like they're getting ready to lose...

can win is through voter fraud. They honestly believe that.

And how would we Dems pull off this MASSIVE fraud? I mean, given the fact that we don't control the voting machines, and they generally do?

the video clips they have that show Kerry taking paper out of his pocket and unfolding it, right? I looked at the video on zoom, and you can't see anything. And they also accuse Kerry of turning away from the camera when he takes something out of his pocket. The camera show that was shown was of both candidates from behind. There were also cameras in front, obviously, so how could he turn away from the camera? And if pulled something out against the rules, don't you think someone would have said something, besides Drudge and the freepers? They just can't admit that Bush is a doofus.

6. Remember who was manning the cameras. |
|
Faux news was running the cameras. If there was a camera shot showing Kerry pulling out 3x5 cards, or a camera shot showing Kerry in the worst possible light, don't you know faux news would be showing it 24-7?

Seeing how their boy got his ass kicked back to Crawford they would have been looking for anything to throw out knowing what the polls were going to bring in the next hours and days.

7. Yes, there IS a conspiracy against Bush |
|
It culminates November 2. Some people are calling it "Election" Day. And leading up to "Election" Day is our secret plan called "Operation Definition of Character" in which we pervertedly use Chimpy's own words, deeds, actions and record of four years of misgovernance against him.
