The big contradiction of Freepers. |
|
They complain about how we liberals let elitests like Kerry think for us. And they think for themselves. Yet the blindly follow a leader, who other than being dumb, is an elitest in every sense of the word. They also go by the mantra of "with us or against us". Talk down to those who disagree with them. And a friend of mine who is impartial and has visited both this site and Free Republic, has said, while neither sites truly allow dissent, Free Republic is worse than DU in terms of cracking down on dissenters. I think it is interesting. They could make the case if they were true libertarians. But they cannot make that case being Republicans. This was from reading a thread on FR. I will say this too. Their site is so horribly designed it makes me sick.

1) rules are meant to be followed, by everyone but them. 2) their complaints against news bias does not apply to news biased for them. 3) they attack john kerry for the things that chimpy has done worse, or has a worse record on. 4) they call themselves conservative but conserving is not embodied in their actions 5) when liberals attack conservative spin and distortion, it's an attack on free speech. when conservatives attack liberals with spin and distortion, it's called exposing the truth.

3. You want to see the biggest Republican contradiction of all? |
|
Ask one of them what they think of the President-elect on November 3rd. I expect you'll find that they no longer consider criticizing the president to be an act of treason. I'll bet cursing in public won't even be such a bad thing anymore.

4. Don't you know that they are best at PROJECTING their own feelings & fears |

on their "enemies"?
My rule of thumb: Whatever they accuse Dems of being or doing, chances are very strong that they're really talking about themselves.
It's a very sophisticated way of blaming others for their own mistakes and failures. Half the time I think it's subconscious, and the other is deliberate spin.
Wouldn't this qualify as pathological?[/}

6. Most so-called Republicans.. |
|
are not Conservatives. They don't believe in Conservation.
In fact the labels are so blurred now that Dems, Greens and Leftists are Conservationists.
