CNN Anchor Nicknames
Oh, what has happened to what Ted once built as a credible news outlet?. The ConservativeNewsNetwork now has TIME warped - yes, TIME (the only major news outlet to state that the first debate was a DRAW???!!!).

Yes, Time/Warner sure has some dandy anchors whoring for BushCo:

Wolf Blitzer-ingForBusheveryday
Candy BushsureisDandy Crawley-ingOnherkneesforBush
Judy GivesRoveaWOODy-ruff(justthewayhelikesit)
Daryn OhwhatabigRushIgetKagyn
TheLogCabinBoys (VanderbiltHeirdivaAndyandGiveBushahummerHemmer)
and, my personal favorite:
BobbedDownwhileGrovelingOverPresidentandOh,NO-myhip-Vak-AttackedMe

Please add to the list from the ConservativeNewsNetwork or from any other Government owned and operated "News Outlets" of your choice.

2. DeepModem Mom:
I noticed that your hours, presuming you're in the Continental US, are even worse than mine.

Hats off to you...

3. My secret is that I'm not, at present, in the U.S. --

but spend a good deal of time there, and will be back permanantly soon. I'm ahead of you guys, time-zone wise -- and you're my life-line to what's going on at home.

4. Lucky you...
the tenor is bad here - I've not seen it like this since Nixon mined Haiphong Harbor. We are asymptotically approaching a cultural critical mass here. Fairly frightening.

6. Looking forwardd to it myself - i'm losing sleep
over all this and am becoming obsessed.

My departed father told me that I would have to face fascism here in my lifetime - he saw it with the transition form the Republican Reagan to the more insidious Bush I. His dying words, no kidding, were when he awakened from a coma in 1996 on the day after Clinton was re-elected, and asked the nurse who won. She said that the President had. And he said good, and fell back to 'sleep' - he never awakened.

He must be spinning about now...

8. Brilliant man-
4 years in the Pacific during WW II, 2 full-time civil service jobs (worse hours than mine!), and 7 yes seven, masters degrees in everything from English poetry to Hebrew studies.

All from good Philly univ.'s, in his 'spare' time.

Didn't see him much, however...that's another story. They did not send me to Alabama to get rid of me like someone we know..

10. well, nicknames should be short and if you will, pithy
yours are WAY too belabored and impossible to remember or really use.

like, say, Bill Hummer, Daryl Craven, Shrill O'Lielly, LesLIE Blitzer....

11. nice
those nicknames are pretty sweet. I don't know what is going on in the US. All media is inherently slanted, but US networks are so friggin blatantly biased, it's disgusting. They pull for Bush all the time. It's no wonder he might actually win, jesus. For example, in Canada the media here hates Bush, and in a recent poll, only 8% of Canadians would vote for Bush. But take as an example the fightin in Samarra, CNN talk about how many rebels were shot, blah blah. On the Canadian networks, the first thing about that battle that came on TV was 34 children dead in bomb explosions and 1 US soldier killed. It's totally different and half your country is being brainwashed. I hate to say it, but to a very small extent, what is happening in the US reminds me of 1930's Germany. The porpaganda-machine is running full swing and people are rallying behind this complete ass that has no regard for life or liberty whatsoever. Why doesn''t he just save you the next four years by repealing the Consitution and resigning, rather than gradually strip you of all your rights. Anyhow, that's why whining and bitching for the day. Take it easy and please, as someone on the outside looking in, save yourselves.

Nathan

12. Nathan, Welcome to DU!
:hi: Great 1st post.

I wish I could move to Canada! We really are trying to save ourselves. This year, I suspect, we will see the biggest turnout in voters than we have seen in YEARS. The chimp has got to go! The ONE thing we have to worry about is the Electronic Voting Machines and the repukes stealing the election again. We already know they will try, but will they get away with it? If this election was run "fairly", there's no way the idiot would be reSelected.
