this administration in disgust. For an administration so keen on protecting us they sure can't seem to keep the best and brightest.

1. Yes !
Now's the time to bring this up, with their cyber-security guy stepping down in disgust.

I've read that since Richard Clark stepped down, five (??) other counter-terrorism chiefs have quit. Anyone got a link to something about this? I know there's been something on TPM about this before, I just can't find it now.

2. Here's a link about the Border Agents
A survey of federal border officers paints a grim picture of their job satisfaction and thoughts on government performance on security issues. Among the findings:
64 percent don't think they have the appropriate tools and training to do their jobs.
44 percent believe the country is as vulnerable today as it was on Sept. 11, 2001.
In the past two years, 45 percent have considered quitting.
52 percent think the government's consolidation of all immigration officers into one agency has been an ineffective move.

3. How many more top govt officials have to quit to get message across?
Quite a few prominent people, not just in national security positions, but also in other military as well as civilian positions have either quit or decided to retire under Bushco, many of them writing books and speaking out about the misguided policies and incompetence.

Of course Bushco works furiously to smear them all as disgruntled and unreliable but after a while you have to wonder how many top people have to quit and speak out before the message gets across with the American people that this Administration is misguided.
