How is this possible? More votes than people.
Just by chance I came across this info from the 2000 election.

Loving County Texas population 67

http://factfinder.census.gov/servlet/SAFFFacts?_event=Search&geo_id=01000US&_geoContext=&_street=&_county=loving&_cityTown=&_state=04000US48&_zip=&_lang=en&_sse=on

Voting results from 2000

Gore 29

bush 124

buchanan 1

brown (who?) 1

for a total of 155

http://www.usatoday.com/news/vote2000/cbc/txcbc.htm

How does this happen? Absentee ballots? But then, two and half times as many votes as people, not just registered voters. Doesn't seem possible.

1. Just for a minute, believe it was an honest election.
Often population stats aren't that accurate and aren't updated that frequently. On the other hand, if the population count is accurate, it seems they have some explaining to to.

2. It ain't possible.
This is far more prevalent than pollsters want to admit. I understand this happened in several areas of Florida too.

3. Well 2000 was the year of the census
and the population numbers you cite were probably from the 1990 census.

5. the population numbers are from the census.gov site for 2000
107 people there in 1990, which is still too few

8. whoah, that creates more questions than in answers!
look at the high % of early votes cast at the same time the number of registered voters goes up, strange.

9. where are they getting these voters?
The county is losing people, according to the census.gov site. But yet on the site you provided, the number of registered voters keeps going up, and is well beyond the total population.

10. Did they use electronic voting machines?
Do you know? If so, that's how. They hacked them and changed the vote tally.

14. I haven't seen it, not yet anyway
I've been looking around at the infomation, sometimes I think its more votes than there should be, with almost everyone voting, which doesn't allow for children, but so far none with more votes than people.

19. That is not possible
Loving County has always been famous for not having a 100 people in the whole county. Someone needs to talk to the county clerk and pull the records.
