If we agree that the media does nothing but lie, why believe their polls? |
|
Honestly we already know that they are not counting the MILLIONS of new democratic voters, that they underpoll dems, minorities, young people, and poor people.
The media is there to condition you into excepting four more years of Bush, end of story, if you take away their power and turn them off we can win this. If DUers are stupid enough to believe their polls, we loose.
Not one post about republican converts gets more than 20 responses, ever. But a media bull shit poll will get about 50.
Damn open your eyes, Bush has about 35% tops but people here want to believe that just because we come here we are so much smarter than the average American, that is sad.
Expect the worst out of people and that is what you will get.
TURN THAT SHIT OFF!

I have been saying that and saying that.Yet everyone continues to post the polls they say they don't believe ! But they bekieve them when they like them .They are not valid either way! Polls have become the manipulative tool of the RW. You can get insider polls at the DNC. Those are more valid. Ask your Dem National Chairperson for them!

2. I don't believe the media |
|
does nothing but lie and shill for bush. And I get pretty offended by that meme. Some of the media ain't worth spit, and some of it's invaluble: The New Yorker, Harper's, Man;y of the NY Times reporters and columnists. I have a deep and abiding respect for Paul Krugman, Nicholas Kristof , Sy Hersh, Lewis Lapham and many others. Perhaps we do pay too much attention to the polls. But I totally reject the assumption that Pew, for example, is attempting to get Americans to accept four more years of the twerp. As far as the assertion that Bush has only 35% support, did you simply pull that number out of your hat at random. How the hell is making up numbers better than reading a variety of polls?

6. Because I know absolutely no people that voted Gore and are voting |
|
Bush, not fucking one!
But I know at least 20 people that voted Bush that are now voting Kerry.
We won last time, and they did the same thing then as they are doing now.

3. I don't, but it is something to talk about |

Hey, it's interesting to see how the polls see-saw, but it's pure entertainment for me.
If I awoke tomorrow and the polls showed Kerry with an 80 point lead, I'd still vote for him on Nov. 2.
And if I awoke tomorrow to see that Bush had an 80 point lead, I'd make sure I got my ass down to the voting booth for sure. (And I'd take the rest of me, too.)

7. Who Said we Believe Them ? |
|
I do not believe any polls, except for maybe Zogby. His polls are the most accurate, but even he is wrong most of the time.
I do not trust any media outlet that runs a poll, and Gallup is the worst.
