If Cheney does well in the debate doesn't he risk............. |
|
upstaging shrub bigtime and showing the public who really is running the show? As I see it, if he does well it could be a double edged sword for shrub making him look like worse than he already does.
Just a thought.

4. Agreed. Many voted for his last |

time because they felt he had a competent team on board. Well, fool them--they're all incompetent.

6. I think that's a pretty good point actually. |

And a quandary. Since Edwards is so much more likeable, and since everyone assumes that Cheney is already running things, and since Cheney is already so unlikeable according to polls... It will be interesting, to say the least.

In 2000, he and Lieberman had a genial conversation, causing Pundits to lament that they weren't at the top of their respective tickets.
Very clubby.
I don't expect that this time.

8. Yes. That is something |
|
the republicana are very aware of. In 2000, a significant number of people who voted for Bush were reassured that he had an older, wiser VP to advise him on foreign policy. In 2004, there are very different dynamics. People may not like the thought of Mr. Halliburton running the foreign policy from his cave.
