What are the solutions to the Iraq war? |
|
Besides getting more nations involved with it which I'm not too sure they will be willing to do. What are your thoughts? Who would want to take on that problem? I know it's "hard work", but what would you do?

3. I'll go along with that, but that doesn't resolve the problems |
|
in Iraq. What will happen to the people of that country if we leave or if we don't leave? How many people will be killed before everyone has had enough? I just don't see a way out of this mess without more and more bloodshed.

5. Get U.S. out as soon as possible, insert NATO forces and let... |
|
...Iraqis determine their own destiny. How Kerry will accomplish that after the mess Bush has created, I don't know, but one thing that should happen is for Bush to go on trial as a war criminal. That might get Iraqis over to our way of thinking when justice is served. No pardons for that bastard. He can rot in prison along with Saddam.

6. Also, get rid of no-bid contracts, and |
|
let Iraqi companies do their own rebuilding (with US funds). This will lower the huge unemployment rate, and limit the number of insurgents. Then give support to moderates like Al Sistani, withdraw most US troops, make a deal with UN for peace keeping (no bombings), accept the result of elections no matter what they are, have the UN help with Federal constitution allowing for different groups (Sunnis, Kurds, etc.) to have a certain amount of autonomy, and let the Iraqi handle the oil deals with whomever they please.
I think the quagmire is made worse by the evil intent of the occupiers.
Also, apologize for the destruction, and admit that the US helped increase Saddam's power etc.

9. Will Kerry have the nerve to just walk away? |
|
I think our presence there is what's causing all the trouble. Kerry has said that he will stay and win. Is it possible that that is just talk to appease the moderates and get elected? What are the chances of him pulling the troops after 3 months in office?

El Supremo Quagmire of Epic Proportions.
Can't stay because it makes it worse and we'll never 'win'. Can't leave because it will become a giant haven for al qaida and they'll have lots of oil too!!!
Maybe support a good old fashioned Ayatollah?
If Smirk wins, his pennance will be trying to fix that fucked up disaster.

Buh Bye Bushies to begin with. Go to the UN on our knees and beg for forgiveness for allowing this to happen. Turn Saddam over to the Hague for trial. Then present a plan to the UN, NATO and the EU for rebuilding Iraq and pulling troops out as an international effort.
