1. Who, unlike previous Nobel Peace Prize recipient guest,
Henry Kissinger, actually deserved his prize.

4. Lampooning Dr. Phil
Edited on Mon Oct-04-04 10:15 PM by Ravenswood
*lmao*

The Daily Show visited Elgin, TX where Dr. Phil is kicking off the new season. Hard to do it justice - it was a very funny bit, imo.

Dr. Phil's interview with George & Laura Bush looked pretty creepy though. What was up with the soft focus?

5. They are KILLING Dr. Phil.
And through that shrub and pickles, who seem to worship Dr. Phil.

That was a really hilarious segment.

6. Jon to Tutu: "You're the nicest person I've ever met."
Well, I sure agree with that. Tutu and the Dalai Lama -- neck and neck.

7. My God
Edited on Mon Oct-04-04 10:31 PM by Maestro
I consider myself a Christian with a ton of doubts but after just watching that little bit with Desmond Tutu and what he had to say, I sure as heck hope there is a God. He is very inspiring and ironically makes my hatred for Bushco grow. I am a man of contradictions. If only we could have peace worldwide...

Oh and I respect that man because he is a devout Christian who even when he sells a book doesn't seem to be hawking or hijacking religion for the mighty dollar. I know he truly believes in his message whether you believe in it or not. We have jerks like Falwell and Robertson and South Africa has Desmond Tutu. Sheesh!

8. It was a good show.
What a special moment he and Jon had. One of the few great moments in tv. The Daily Show has been my sanity for almost a decade now. Phew.

All I could think when Jon mentioned aparthied was how Cheney didn't want that to end.
