did the freepers apologize yet?
for the "cheating" thing? fox showed it on television and concluded it was a pen. i assume they are satisfied with the explanation from their official network.

so i say we extend an invitation for them to send a spokesperson here to apologize for their accusation.

11. Hey, yesterday they were speculating...
...that Rove intentionally sabotaged Bush's debate preparations, because he took a bribe from Kerry. After all, Teresa's super rich!

But you might be right. Freerepublic may be a Jurassic-Park-like ecosystem of Neanderthal progeny. After a 100 years of experimentation on this secret project, NASA has decided to give them a web message board -- and hence we have the frequent comedic relief.

12. I don't know how to do links, but
you should look for the freeper thread about Bush "sandbagging" the first debate. They're convinced he threw the first debate to Kerry, so Kerry would be unprepared for the subsequent debates, and just show up expecting to debate the ignoramus Bush from the first debate. But at the second debate Bush would emerge his true, eloquent, informed, intelligent, resolute, handsome and charming self and blow Kerry out of the water. It's really pathetic.

14. haha I've seen that thread
And a correction -- it's spelled "sKerry".

By the way, to do links all you gotta do is highlight the URL (in your top browser bar) and copy (Ctrl+C), then paste (Ctrl+V) into your message.

15. Oh, thank you on the links.
I had forgotten about the excuse above about Rove being bribed by Teresa Heinz Kerry. So we've now got as excuses for Bush's poor performance that 1) he looked like he wasn't feeling well and was on antihistamines; 2) he was distraught from comforting hurricane victims; 3) Kerry had a "cheat sheet" and poor George couldn't mention it; 4) Jim Lehrer was throwing the debate to Kerry (he gave Kerry a wink and a nod after the debate); 5) Bush was "sandbagging"; and my personal favorite, 6) there was an anthrax scare and the Secret Service probably made Bush wear a kevlar vest. But when did kevlar start protecting against anthrax, and why wouldn't the SS make Kerry wear one? I'm sure there are more excuses, but it's hard work remembering them all. Like I said, they're pathetic.

... after all, they take their lead from their leader, who can never admit a mistake, either. It goes with the fundie territory. Can't ever be mistaken if you're inspired by God, eh? :P

16. Whatever happened to "Orange Kerry"
That story was all the rage just last week. Then it went away for some strange reason, with no explanation from the Freeps.

17. They're still beating this dead horse
Saying that they need to examine freeze frames--that it's not a pen but rather a notecard of some type. As if Kerry would need a cheat sheet, and then be stupid enough to pull it out with cameras trained on him from all angles.
