WORST EVER portrait of Clinton.... and Bush!

Both of them look hideous! I've never seen Clinton with that bizarro hair or hollowed-out eyes.

Bush looks his usual psychotic self.

I guess this is from some GOP outfit - I found it on Freakrepublic. Their point is that POS Bush started funding Stem Cell research - but I don't remember it even being an issue when Clinton was in office.

I'm posting this mainly for the pic, but if you want to chat about stem cells, knock yerself out.

1. Isn't it a bogus poster also?
It should be "Who was President when Federaly funded Stem Cell research started?"

Example:
http://www.laskerfoundation.org/news/stemcell/history.html

"In 1998, researchers at the University of Wisconsin led by James Thomson isolated and grew stem cells from human embryos, and researchers from Johns Hopkins University led by John Gearhart did the same for human germ cells. In 1999 and 2000, researchers began to find that manipulation of adult mouse tissues could sometimes yield previously unsuspected cell types; for example, that some bone marrow cells could be turned into nerve or liver cells and that stem cells found in the brain appear to be able to form other kinds of cells."

2. It is brutal, but Clinton gets the worst of it (as usual)...
It appears that the "artist" tried to make * look like Clint Eastwood.

3. For the record
Chimpy LIMITED Federal funds for stem cell research to a few lines (until then it had been routinely funded). Those lines were (coincidentally hahahaha) patented by a company Health and Human Services Secretary Tommy Thompson had ties to....and turned out to be contaminated by mouse cells and unusable.

8. Republicans amaze the fuck out of me
Edited on Tue Oct-05-04 06:55 AM by ComerPerro
No one has it both ways like Republicans.

This is a classic example.

Bush is against Stem Cell research because apparently it makes the baby Jesus cry, so the fundies of the extreme right wing support him. But at the same time, Bush is for stem cell research, so that means he is progressive and is better for health care?

:wtf:

But this is how Republicans do things. Its incredible that they get away with it.

Bush puts limits on stem cell research at the bidding of the fanatical Christian right, yet he gets credit for embracing new technology beause he is the first president to pass legislation about it?

I swear to God, Republicans and conservatives are so fucking stupid that they will believe anything (as long as the source is insanely right wing).

If saying that Bush is the first President to support Stem Cell research while saying that Bush is good because he is against stem cell research isn't a flip-flop, then what the hell is?
