It is hard work to think about the consequences of your lies. It is hard |

work just to think. It is hard work to think you have the power of life and death over millions of people and that you have to use your power responsibly. It is hard work to move away from pretensions that feed your ego.It is hard work to devote your efforts to peace instead of war.It is hard work to listen to powerless people. It is hard work to be a democrat with a small d.It is hard work to obey the Constitution you are sworn to uphold. It is hard work to consult people's representatives and obtain a consensus for your proposed actions. It is hard work to speak the truth to the American people. It is hard work to put yourself in the shoes of ordinary Americans whose life is spent on dealing with problems that you cannot even imagine. It is hard work to be a leader of a democracy. It is hard work to understand that most people are not born into wealth and privilege. It is hard work to respect a man who, despite his own wealth volunteers for service in a far away land and comes back a decorated soldier. It is hard work to keep your dogs leashed from attacking him with lies.It is hard work to stop telling lies even after they have been found to be so.It is hard work to explain how tax cuts for the wealthy will benefit the economy? It is hard work to explain how your friends with wealth and privilege played stock manipulation scams on honest people working for them.It is hard work to explain why no one has been prosecuted for any negligence or thievery or forgery.
It is hard work being a man who can command respect.
