List your examples of Republican Campaign Terrorism
Okay...so far this election season...

Westmoreland County Democrats have had their lawn signs stolen countless times. They have to keep taking them inside at night if they want them to last another day in some areas of our county.

Our local politicians have their signs stolen as well as vandalized. Large 8x4 signs are constantly having to be repositioned and replaced.

My friend had her tire popped with a nail while she attended the Teresa Heinz Kerry speech on Sunday night. My friend could have been killed since she didn't discover this problem until she got home....lucky for her it was a slow leak.

The PA RNC is sending people in our county fliers that distort the truth and in fact the latest one tries to insinuate that the Governor of PA and a local candidate were cruising gay bars together...

I have had people tailgate me excessively or not let me merge on the highway.

I have had one car keyed...but I won't bend because I value my rights more than a old car's paint job.

4. Nothing personal, but the KKKRove CBS memogate,
the freeper who tried to blame Democrats for tearing up his 4 year old daughter's Chimp sign at an Edwards rally, same guy called the cops in Huntington, West Virginia to report a shooting (through window) at the GOP headquarters (he probably did it). The smearboat vet ads paid for by the Texas GOP.

GOP intimidating CBS so they wouldn't air the Niger yellowcake/Plame story. I'm sure there's more. I just can't think of them.

5. Disrupting the recount in 2000
Remember how all those thugs went and banged on the doors of the room where they were recounting the ballots in FL? The Republicans view politics like all out war.

9. Ohio Ballotgate.
Blackwell trying to get rid of ballots because they were printed on the wrong weight paper.

The Pentagon accepting all the Military absentee ballots so they can throw away the Democratic votes.

The electronic voting machines with no paper ballots for a recount...or no receipt.

11. Provision no-votes and mysterious absebtee ballots
In colorado the SoS has deemed that when some votes using a provisional ballot the sates will only count the vote for the president and ignore (not count) the other votes on the ballot!!! TERRAISM

There are many folks in Boulder county who are receiving absentee ballots who did not request them....TERRAISM!!!

12. LOTS of stolen/vandalized signs. So much so that the police in small
communities are actually looking for the culprits and announced over the radio yesterday the description of a vehicle and its occupant who is wanted for stealing signs in Collegedale.

Many reports of stickers being removed from vehicles.

I've been run off the road a couple of times and the idiots who did it didn't seem to care that my kids were with me. Sat. some lunatic woman pulled up beside my husband in traffic, rolled down the window and screamed 'f^#k you' at him and then floored the car, ran the red light and almost caused an accident. Unacceptable behavior under any circumstances, but my 3 kids were in the car with him. My kids are learning a lot about repugs from witnessing their disgusting behavior.

13. turning on NPR the morning after the debate
having no Kerry supporters , just bunch of ahem, undecided, PA voters basically voicing the repuke line. That floored me, and says it all about NPR.

14. But are we the same?
Edited on Tue Oct-05-04 10:53 AM by momisold
I read on this very board about Dems doing the same thing. Almost committing road rage because of bumper stickers they don't like, putting Dem bumper stickers over Republican stickers, taking yards signs, getting in people's faces and screaming obscenities, etc...

Don't tell me about the Republicans doing it. As I tell my kid as he wants to jump off the bridge 'cause all the other kids are doing it, you can only be responsible for your actions, no one else.

I am almost 50, have never been active in politics, read about this website in an article and started reading DU. But honestly, when I read on this board how rudely and angrily Dems act, I am hesitant to be actively associated with Dems. I am very turned off by the behavior on both sides. Maybe it's my age......
