Surprise or April Fool?
Edited on Tue Oct-05-04 10:55 AM by coalminersdaughter
What if Cheney announced his withdrawal from the race tonight? I got this e-mail about rumors floating around Case yesterday;

'"It was rumored that the President might be here, b/c if they were far behind in the polls, they were going to announce a new running mate."

....that they have heard Giulilani and McCain are the ones considered, and that they will be there (at Case) tomorrow (which is now today). "

Would a major speech by * be appropriate for Wednesday?

O.K. I know the hamster in may brain is working overtime, but, what if........?

edit: typo not changed to now

6. Yes, but I still think it could be done.
I don't think it will be done, but I still think it could be.

2. If they do it, it will be seen as a sign of desperation.
It would make Kerry's job harder, but I believe they are aware of this possibility.

7. I believe it would require them calling a meeting of
either the state party chairman or the full national committee to cast a symbolic vote okaying it. Democrats did this when Eagleton withdrew from the race in 1972. I really can't see it though, because it would show GREAT desperation.
