99 yr Old Woman still politically active in ALABAMA.

This is a great story in my paper, but you have to register to read it. So I'll just post a few tid bits:

Zelma Wyatt...at 99 she has only missed voting once since she has been of voting age. Wyatt will receive a lifetime membership from the League of Women Voters of the United States at a luncheon today...(she joined the League in 1956).

Wyatt said the league set out to accomplish many things such as to clean up voter registration, establish a public library and juvenile detention center and work on constitutional reform..."We would set up registration tables at grocery stores - anywhere people would congregate."

"I'm amazed that people don't vote. My mother died in 1920 - the year women got the right to vote - and never got to vote. But she believed that if women got the right to vote, they would clean up the world. I guess I'm glad she didn't live to see this mess."

This is a wonderful old white Tuscaloosan woman, registered Democrat, who told the paper she was undecided about the current presidential election.

I don't think she is undecided. ;)
