I have been taught that praying for understanding and acceptance of God's wisdom and will is the best way, but trust in the Almighty is a personal thing. Do what feels right for you. :)

Though I'm atheist, the best prayer you can give is one that asks to reveal the truth, no matter how much exposing it might hurt you, and it has to be filled with love and good will, even towards your enemies, and the catch is, you have to actually mean it.
