1. I don't think he's doing well

He looked witty and amiable when he debated Lieberman. He is a snowling asshole now.

If the press does their job, they'll tear him apart with the fact-checking after the debate.

Boy, talk about a Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde approach.

I figure he had to come aross as a hardass this time as the record was so bad....I thought his hardball (and apparently fact-based) approach was a good counter to Edwards.

As others have noted whether these facts are true or not is a very open question.

4. i don't think he's doing well. not only is he lying his ass off, but his

nonverbals are not convincing. he's somewhat shifty and his eyes give him away. he begins every answer with the moderator's name which has me wondering what the hell is he trying to prove? what is he hesitating on? no, i think cheney comes off cold and calculating. and dang, that snarl. eeeecks!

6. He "sounds credible but people will only believe him if they're very naive

He sounds confident and has an answer to everything BUT for people who are knowledgeable, they know it's all bullshit.

Unfortunately, as we know most people are NOT very knowledgeable so they may fall for it.

Edwards is doing fantastically so many will either think that he either won or that this debate is a "draw."

...use Ifill's name, very monotone to sound reassuring...the freepers who need a father figure probably think Unca' Dick is awesome and he will keep them so safe and they will live in Happy Freeper Land...

The format minimizes Edwards' enthusiasm..I think he was too coached on getting past the "inexperience" questions about him that there is too big a damper on him.
