When you say, "don't take offense" and mail a copy of a gun with an asshole reference in it--------think about it, it IS something to take offense from.

About your use of the word "leftist": I am somebody who volunteered to go right next to you into the military at a time when there was a draft, so, minimally, there's disrespect there.

Actually, you and I just trade personal attacks on Shrub. We don't really talk about POLITICS, so you don't have anything to hang the word "leftist" on. So you are just using the word "leftist" the way Joe McCARTHY used "Communist".

But you do have one good point: One of us is going to be very unhappy for the next 4 years, not in general but WITH EACH OTHER. And SEPARATELY there is the question of whether we WANT to get along. The way wingnuts think is: Working together means DOING IT MY WAY.

But as for being unhappy with election outcomes: It's nothing new to me, there were those TWELVE years of RAYGUN-BUSH-the-1st, plus these FOUR years of Shrub. I've got plenty of experience on that score.
