It was clear to me that Cheney came to the debate expecting us to
admire his magnificence;Edwards came there stating his case and expecting to be judged on the merits of his case, just as any ordinary American would. Edwards succeeded in convincing me he is the better man.

Cheney's arrogant tone, body language and contempt for not just the moderator and Edwards, but his audience, the American people, were evident throughout. When caught in a lie as Edwards did several times his tactic simply was to lie again to refute the first lie.The sneer and the contempt in his lips while lying dared Edwards to call him a liar.

Edwards, polite and quietly devastating with his facts marshalled in argument, one after another, steadily built up the momentum to demolish the arrogant fool that calls himself the Vice President of the United States.

John Kerry deserves to be elected President for no reason other than picking John Edwards as his running mate, a decision that shows sound judgment.

3. KNUCKLE UNDER, EDWARDS GOT OVER,USING FACTS.
Edwards was so caught up in accurate accusations, the moderator had to be the one to drop the halliburton bomb, which started to melt the ice off smug dick shame me.

4. What Cheney's body language and his navel gazing told me was
he hated to be there and he hated it even more to be questioned by people he didn't think were the equals of his exalted self. His words, he made clear, were not to be questioned. When caught in his lies, he made shit up literally and expected that the others accept these new "facts" as truths.Even in the area of foreign affairs, his knowledge simply consists of reciting from the book of The World According to Cheney. His knowledge of economics and other domestic issues come from a world in which the reality of the daily lives of Americans is not expected to intrude. His scathing judgments about John Kerry, in a normal person, would at least acknowledge that man's patriotism and his valor in fighting this country's war in Vietnam. No such act of goodwill can be expected from Cheney, he made clear.

5. Your best post yet yet, KlatooBNikto.
The flaw I seen that John Edwards made was that he never brought of the secrecy of the Energy Papers.

7. We should not blame JE for that. The moderator, a personal friend
of Condi Rice and probably handpicked for just such an occassion, was
at once deferential to Cheney and rude to JE.The choice of her questions in effect made it difficult for JE to bring up the matter, I thin;I agree with you, though, that it would have made an important impact.
