OMG! Listen to this recorded phone call I got in Florida. |
|
Edited on Wed Oct-06-04 09:23 AM by caledesi
I hear this recording:
"Goodbye the American people; we stand with Him now." This call was paid for by Bush/Cheney 04.
Now what the hell is this all about? The Rapture?
Unbelievable!

2. Was that the whole message? |
|
In isolation, that doesn't make much sense.
Of course, if it's intended to be some Christian message, that might explain it.

3. Cheney was supposed to take a fall last night |
|
fake a heart attack - instead, he delivered a moderately decent performance and gets to remain on the ticket. Guess someone forgot to tell the dialer system not to send out its "memorial" message. :7

Many news providers have prewritten obituaries for people in the public eye, so they can publish them immediately when someone dies.

18. The old sitcom 'The Mary Tyler Moore Show' had a funny show |
|
about this one time. Mary had to update the obituary files and since she didn't have time to do it at work, she took it home with her. She and Rhoda stayed up all night updating the files. By morning they were punchy and started doing funny obits. As luck would have it one of the celebrities died whom they had done a funny obit on. Before Mary has a chance to snatch the obit and tear it up, Ted Knight, the brainless anchorman, reads it on the air.
Really funny show. Catch it in re-runs if you can.

17. Herf was my choir director - LOL |
|
No kidding. Back in 1969, I was 12 and my family went to the First Unitarian Church in Houston. He was the hired Choir Director. He didn't like us kids much and considered us "beneath him". The church was where he met Bonnie Sue Nettles, his partner in weirdness.

Probably what happened was the message began playing when your phone picked up, and all that was recorded was the end. I get that too with recorded messages. The message has played the whole time, but I only get the end when my voice mail kicks in.

21. Just like a church sign |
|
I saw recently. It simply said: "He is coming."
What ominous messages. However, it's not much of a shock, considering there are people out there who believe an "end-times" scenario is unfolding as we speak.
What I wonder is, what kind of information is the Bush/Cheney campaign providing to their fundamentalist followers that makes them think we're on the doorstep to the apocalypse?

Very peculiar. Didn't sound like any part got cut off. Just exactly what I posted. I don't know much about fundie stuff, so maybe it's just some kind of "Rapture" thing.
