about this one time. Mary had to update the obituary files and since she didn't have time to do it at work, she took it home with her. She and Rhoda stayed up all night updating the files. Probably what happened was the message began playing when your phone picked up, and all that was recorded was the end. I get that too with recorded messages. The message has played the whole time, but I only get the end when my voice mail kicks in.
