In case you missed it, READ THE NY TIMES ARTICLE ON THE TUBES!
I cannot recommend this article strongly enough. Here's the link:

http://www.nytimes.com/2004/10/03/international/middleeast/03tube.html?pagewanted=1

Yes, it's very long and detailed, but it shows without a shadow of a doubt how Bush and Cheney and Rice and Powell deliberately and knowingly DISTORTED the evidence and MISLED the country on the aluminum tubes.

I think much of this information is already known, but this article pulls it all together and presents a clear and coherent case.

It's too bad Edwards couldn't have hammered Cheney on this stuff last night.

3. I remember reading on DU: "Again with the ALUMINUM TUBES?!!!"
DUers knew it was untrue from about the second time the bushies brought out the aluminum tubes story. I guess it was in dubya's State of The Union address, and DUers were shocked since it had been already been discredited to our understanding. (I guess we weren't taking out truth from the mainstream media.) Then came Powell's speech, which DUers knew was a croc, but even PBS pundits were lauding it. Mark Shields said Powell was great, and the "moderater" Terence Smith ended the segment analysing Powell's UN speech with a single phrase to describe Powell; it was something like "The Epitome of Credibility."
