When if ever do you guys think that the majority of Americans will not observe silly partisan sides toward big issues like Iraq?
It's blows my mind that people will go right down party lines with their thoughts on Iraq. They think if you agree with Iraq they must be Republican or if they disagree that they must be Democrat? Where is it written that you have to be on a team in the first place? How about just being a fucking human and having the ability to call bullshit on things like today's WMD report.
An "official" report comes out, no WMD found (we knew this long ago!) and most Americans aren't outraged. Also what about the Americans who don't even follow what's been happening with Iraq at all? How crazy is that!!
Is anyone else floored that some people are so arrogant about the whole Iraq thing? They'll discount mistake after mistake and their arrogance or pride gets in the way of logic. Since when is it honorable to support a war on fake intelligence?
I still can't get my mind around any of this, that's why I made the thread.

It clouds their brains. Many people drink it.
I feel sorry for Americans in 2004 who have NO compassion for the Iraqi people and even less for our troops. It isn't party loyalty. It's selfish apathy. By those with unevolved thought processes. And a childish view of the world that says, " It's all being handled by someone else. I don't have to have a worry or care...."

Here's an example. I recently spoke with someone who adamantly supports this Iraq mess. This person knows there was no WMD found and still blindly supports. So I went on to test this persons knowledge on a simple thing like the build up to the war. I asked her who Chalabi is. She didn't know!!! How in the hell could she not know who Chalabi is and what role he played / still plays in Iraq?

only the young protested the war and the government.the adults grew up in the depression and fought in WWII, and were patriotic to the core, considering any defiance communist. compared to now the separation is thinking vs. non thinking. throw a bit of reality their way and they freak. i've put much thought into these things and do believe that the reality of what amerika has become--abu ghraib, carnage, illegal invasion, government lies, proovable daily misinformation from the media etc.,it is all just too much to take in. they turned off when the towers fell, and denial is a comfort zone. i have faith that one day the majority will indeed wake up, and pray that it will not be too late. we as a country have much restitution to pay.peace out

Toady I was going in to the grocery store and I saw a car in the parking lot with al sorts of bumper stickers. One of which said "I vote pro-life". That one was just under the Bush/Cheney 04 and Bush Cheney 02 stickers. I wondered if that person had given any thought to the fact they voted "pro-life in 2000 but here we are in 2004 and nothing has changed. The republicans control the white house and the congress yet abortion is still a huge hotbed issue. Do any of them every wonder why? If it was taken off the table then what would they have left to lure the pro-life/religious nuts with? They don;t even relaize they are being led by the nose.
