5. We have
a Party City in Raleigh. I'm going to check the ads (alot stuffed in the paper today). If it's here too, I'm going to raise a stink.

15. Betcha the others are more expensive...
...but the store is advertising the price of the cheaper ones to pull people in.

(the prisoner jumpsuit is about $30 elsewhere)

13. unreal
crazy stuff, it does look photoshopped though. The way the kid is thrown in there, he is much larger but then again i guess this is how they put it together.

Someones head should roll for this.

16. The flyer's cover is a composite of images.
They just combined several stock images of costumes. But this is how they mailed it out. So you're right, it does look photoshopped.

19. It looks photoshopped because it is...
Edited on Thu Oct-07-04 08:36 AM by JHB
...not as fakery, it's advertising. The kids modeling the costumes would have been all photographed separately, then edited together for the "group shot" the store wanted. (It lets the store pick which costumes it will show, and avoids any stray shadows an actual group shot might cause.)

23. That costume, of course, has been around for years.
My ex wore a similiar one to a Halloween party in 1995.

However, in light of recent events, I suppose it would have been prudent to not have it available this year.

Then again, it would be only in bad taste (understatement) if one wore it with the intent of satirizing the hostage victims.

25. Having it available is one thing.
I wouldn't be concerned with that.

But having it front and center on the cover of a flyer?

Bad idea.

It seems to me the fellow dressed in black with explosives strapped to his chest might attract some startled glances.

30. A "Pumpkin Suit"...How STOOPID....
Reminds me of when I worked in the basement of the C-C Building, right around the corner from Drug Court and down the hall from Wife Beater's court....

Some dumb-ass came down one day dressed in an orange jumpsuit. It didn't say "MCJ" or "JAIL" on it, but at a glance, it got a few deputy's heart rates up when they saw him wandering around loose....

So you get this, and 2 buds with toy scimitars and tea-towels wrapped around their faces......

Stoopid....

31. Just get a * mask to wear with the orange jumpsuit.
You would then be speaking the truth.
